Leisten Wagner, based in Andernach am Rhein, has been a family-run company for more than 150 years. Now in its fifth generation, we manufacture high-quality solid wood slats and milled parts for parquet floors, furniture and doors. For our location in 56626 Andernach we offer to 01.08.2024.

The job at a glance:

Wood mechanics (m/f/d) specializing in the manufacture of construction elements, wooden packaging and frames control and monitor production systems with which they process wood and wood-based materials into staircase, window and door parts, wooden packaging and picture or mirror frames or mouldings.
During your apprenticeship, you will work in all key areas of the company: from the production of the moldings and surface treatment to the final inspection and storage/dispatch of the goods.
The apprenticeship lasts 3 years.
The vocational school takes place part-time in Mayen.

Requirements for you:

at least secondary school leaving certificate with good grades in math
Technical understanding
Enjoy working with wood
You enjoy working in a team

A pre-study internship in our company is desirable.

Your tasks:

Disciplinary and technical management of production in a team with our existing production manager
Ensuring an error-free and timely production process
Improving our processes and helping to shape the resulting change processes
Central point of contact and link between production, sales and management
Preparation of calculation bases

Your profile:

Further training at technician or master craftsman level, e.g. wood technician or (industrial) master craftsman
High level of technical understanding, ideally in the wood industry
Entrepreneurial, strategic way of thinking as well as independent and structured action
Authentic and engaging demeanor
